We will meet Thursday, April 17 at 7 AM in the Wiener Hospitality Room at MUS (turn right after entering the gym).

I have a computer program for the brackets so we should finish by 8 AM and then the brackets will be posted on the Shelby 7/8 website & photocopied for you before we leave.

Remember you can enter 4 singles players and 2 doubles teams maximum.

Thursday, April 17th at 7:00 AM here at MUS would be my proposal time for a meeting to determine the seeding for this year’s Shelby league tennis tournament, which will be held at the Dunavant-Wellford tennis center on the campuses of MUS & Hutchison during the week of April 21-25. I think we can finish inside of one hour.

I know that’s early in the morning, but I think it beats fooling with it late into the evening. Plus, several schools have a holiday on that Friday the 18th.

If there is any feedback or objection to this as a meeting time, please let me know.

Also, if you all could send me some information in advance, I think it would greatly expedite the bracket process. Remember that you can enter 4 singles players and 2 doubles teams, for a maximum of 8 players. A player cannot be an entrant in both singles & doubles, by the way. (You probably already know this.)

I know you have matches to play, but as we get into the week of April 14, please send me:

1. The names of your players and whether you will enter them in singles or doubles.
2. Who are your players who you feel deserved to be seeded in the field (TOP 8 overall singles, TOP 4 overall doubles in the league)
3. Who are “A” level players who might not be seeded but have lost only once or not at all this season
